U-M Suffers Season's First Setback Despite 29 Points from LeVert

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's basketball team (No. 24 AP, No. 25 USA Today) suffered its first setback of the season against the Xavier Musketeers, 86-70, on Friday night (Nov. 20) inside Crisler Center. The win is Xavier's first ever against Michigan, making the all-time series record 3-1 in the Wolverines' favor. Senior guard Caris LeVert led all scorers with a game-high 29points, adding seven rebounds and three assists.

After trailing by nine points at the half, Michigan began to claw its way back into the game in the second.
