ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Coming off its first-ever Big Ten Tournament title, the University of Michigan ice hockey team (24-7-5, 12-5-3-2 Big Ten) earned a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament and will take on No. 3 seed Notre Dame (19-10-7, 15-5-2 Hockey East) in a Midwest Regional semifinal on Friday (March 25) at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. Puck drop will be at 5:30 p.m., and the game will be televised on ESPNU.
Friday's meeting pits two former CCHA rivals against each other, as the game will mark the 134th time that Michigan and Notre Dame have played in a series that dates back to 1923.
