It's good to work under Jim Harbaugh -- at least, based on the latest assistant coach salary figures, released today by USA TODAY Sports.
Michigan's assistant pay, as a group, ranks No. 8 in the country and most in the Big Ten, at $4,248,667.
Trailing LSU, Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, Clemson and Florida State, Michigan edges Ohio State by about $220,000.
Michigan State's total assistant coach pay is $3,195,154.
Individually, U-M offensive coordinator Tim Drevno and defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin (who now will be making far more as Maryland's head coach) tied for 15th nationally, at $880,000 apiece.
