U-M 105, YSU 46: Walton notches triple double in rout

Derrick Walton Jr. may be changing Michigan's season.

In his first game back from his ankle injury last Tuesday, he found the game's flow, remembering how to score.

On Saturday, in his second, everything else came back too as he dropped U-M's second triple-double in as many games – just the fifth in Michigan history – in a 105-46 domination of Youngstown State.

He even one-upped teammate Caris LeVert's feat on Tuesday against Northern Kentucky by getting his in the first 32 minutes, checking out with 8:16 to play.

Walton's 10 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists perfectly reflected a Michigan team (9-3) realizing that balance will be the path to success as the Wolverines shot 61.
