But more importantly, Michigan football needs to keep recruiting quality quarterbacks, something the Wolverines have achieved in 2021 with the commitment of J.J. McCarthy.
McCarthy is a five-star recruit that is ranked No. 2 among quarterbacks in the 2021 class. But looking beyond McCarthy, to 2022, Jim Harbaugh and company have zeroed in on a new target and that’s four-star Ty Simpson.
