ANN ARBOR -- The sounds of his first name echoed through Michigan Stadium during the second half Saturday, reviving memories of his playing days at nearby Warren De La Salle High School.
That was just three short years ago, when Tru Wilson was the star player on defense, rushed for more than 600 yards at running back and returned kicks. Now he's climbed the depth chart at Michigan and earned playing time, an incredible feat when you really think about it.
How could a kid who only had offers to play at the three U.S. service academies climb this far, this fast, at one of the most prominent football programs in America?
