Michigan extended a scholarship offer to four-star Indianapolis Lawrence Central linebacker Cameron McGrone when he visited on June 22.
Although other programs had offered prior to that, the visit quickly moved the Wolverines up his list. They were part of his top six along with Indiana, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin. The Wolverines kept in touch with him since then.
McGrone said the coaches were in contact during his week in Oregon for Nike’s The Opening Finals. He plans to return to campus July 29 for the BBQ at the Big House.
“The coaching style and the linebackers they have produced, that’s a big pull for me,” McGrone said.
