As he prepared to enter high school after a successful start to his young career in the Detroit PAL, Tyrece Woods was a 210-pound linebacker. Today, he is a 255-pound defensive lineman who could play end or tackle depending on how his body and game continues to develop.
In those early high school days, Woods was ear-marked as a future top recruit. He now finds himself committed to the University of Michigan, a decision he announced on Sunday, after a recruitment which did not take off as quickly as those early projections, but has nevertheless ended with the predicted result: Woods at a Power 5 institution.
