Tree-climbing antics help Harbaugh land recruit

ESPN 300 athlete David Long, the No. 104-ranked prospect in the 2016 class, has committed to Michigan. Long announced his decision Thursday on ESPNU, picking Michigan over Washington.

The name might sound familiar as just a few days prior coach Jim Harbaugh was climbing a tree at Long's house during an in-home visit. Long had been going back and forth between the Wolverines and Huskies and came to a decision shortly after that visit.

Long had been a Stanford commit until opening up his recruitment Dec. 18, ultimately focusing on his final two schools.
