It was an interesting week in the Big Ten with Penn State falling to Michigan State and Ohio State getting blown out by Iowa. While those upsets generated two players on the Big Ten Players of the Week list, the group was dominated by Wolverines, featuring three that were recognized for their accomplishments in a 33-10 win over Minnesota.
Running backs Karan Higdon and Chris Evans were named Co-Big Ten Offensive Player Week after combining for 391 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. Higdon ran the ball 16 times for 200 yards and two scores, while Evans racked up 191 yards and two trips to the end zone on 13 carries.
