Two of the biggest brand names in college football meet on New Year's Day when No. 14 Michigan takes on No. 19 Florida in the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl (1 p.m. ET on ABC).
It marks the first meeting between these two programs since a classic 2008 Capital One Bowl, in which the Wolverines defeated Tim Tebow and the Gators 41-35 in Lloyd Carr's final game. Here are three reasons to watch this year's matchup in Orlando, Fla.
1. The start of something big?: Both Florida and Michigan were on the edge of the College Football Playoff race most of the season, which is remarkable, given that they went a combined 12-12 in 2014.
