PARIS, France -- More than 18 months after he nearly left his leg following a gruesome hit during a football game in 2016, Grant Newsome remains optimistic.
The Michigan football offensive lineman has slowly worked his way back to full health. He underwent rehab, began light running and workouts last fall, and took part in winter conditioning with the team this winter.
His confidence is sky high -- yet he continues to wait on his doctors to give him clearance to play football again.
"Just waiting on them," Newsome told MLive on Monday. "Waiting on when they feel comfortable.
