Michigan football picked up its first commitment of the 2021 recruiting class on Tuesday night.
Sterling Heights (Mich.) Stevenson offensive tackle Giovanni El-Hadi announced his commitment to the Wolverines on Twitter.
"Thanks to all the colleges that offered me to play football at the next level," El-Hadi wrote. "I'll like to say that I will be verbally committing to the University of Michigan to continue my academic and athletic career."
Hadi is 6-foot-6 and 280 pounds, according to 247Sports. He reportedly holds scholarship offers from Central Michigan, Indiana, Iowa State, Penn State, Purdue and Western Michigan.
