ANN ARBOR -- Michigan's two last men standing in a up-and-down, injury-plagued season were given the program's highest honor on Wednesday night.
Junior guard Spike Albrecht and sophomore guard Zak Irvin were each named the 2014-15 U-M men's basketball team Bill Buntin Most Valuable Player during the program's annual awards banquet at Crisler Center.
Playing through a hip injury that has since been addressed with a surgery, Albrecht appeared in 31 of 32 games, averaging 7.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 32.0 minutes per game. After starting the year as a backup point guard to starter Derrick Walton Jr.
