ANN ARBOR - Spike Albrecht's college basketball career might by over, but his time in the Ann Arbor area is not.
Albrecht, who played four years at Michigan before transferring to play his fifth season at Purdue, is hosting the first Spike Albrecht youth basketball camp July 17 through July 19 at High Velocity Sports in Canton.
"I'm excited about it," said Albrecht, who averaged 3.5 points and 1.9 assists during his college career. "I've been thinking about doing one for a long time -- since my freshman year when (former Michigan teammate) Zack Novak used to do his.
