Ann Arbor – The jersey number was blurred, but the player stood a full head above Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, so it was clear Wilton Speight was the one getting the brunt of the verbal chastising.
It was Harbaugh’s first spring with the Wolverines in 2015 and HBO was at practice filming when Speight became the target. Harbaugh, his arms spread wide, yelled at Speight, telling him how do something correctly.
“If you want to look at me with that look, go (expletive) somewhere else,” Harbaugh told Speight.
A year and a half later, Speight, who must have listened to his coach at that point and beyond, is Michigan’s starting quarterback.
