Speight, 4th-down stands help Michigan stuff Michigan State, 32-23

EAST LANSING -- For an extended moment – maybe about seven minutes worth – Michigan fans everywhere held their breath.

Michigan State had scored and taken a 7-0 lead on the Wolverines to open Saturday's game at Spartan Stadium.

Then, once No. 2 Michigan actually got the ball, the Wolverines’ world returned to its regularly scheduled Big Ten title march.

Michigan ripped off a 27-3 to close the first half, eventually holding off the home team Spartans on the way to a 32-23 win at Spartan Stadium.

While it was U-M’s first win in the series since 2012 and just the second since 2007, the end result pushed the Wolverines (8-0, 5-0 Big Ten) another step down the road in their magical season.
