Former Michigan Wolverines coach Lloyd Carr is expected to be one of the four new College Football Playoff selection committee members announced later this week, according to multiple sources.
Carr was one of about six to eight finalists considered by the CFP after all 10 FBS commissioners and Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick were invited to submit candidates.
Carr declined to comment.
The CFP has to replace USC athletic director Pat Haden, Mike Gould, Mike Tranghese and Tom Osborne.
"I can't comment at this time, but we will release the names when the time comes," executive director Bill Hancock told ESPN on Friday.
