Jim Harbaugh's decision not to guarantee a fifth year to every Michigan football player rattled some of the older players.
But other current players understand that process.
"You've got to do what's best for the program… all I know is no coach or player is bigger than the team," U-M redshirt junior receiver Jehu Chesson said last week. "I don't expect to play another year. In terms of me getting invited back, that's another story. I just have to make do with the opportunity I have. I'm guaranteed four years academically to get my degree and that's what the plan is.
