ANN ARBOR -- If you can remember back to when Saturday's Michigan-Western Michigan game was still scoreless, you might recall a certain throw from U-M quarterback Shea Patterson.
It was 2nd and 5 from Michigan's 24-yard line. Patterson faked a hand-off and rolled left, from one hashmark to the other, looking for someone to come open. Spotting receiver Oliver Martin cutting towards the sideline, the right-handed Patterson opened his hips and -- with a defender close enough to discern his eye color -- fired a strike that Martin caught before falling out of bounds.
It was as impressive a nine-yard completion as you'll see at the college level.
