Even in the wide-open Big Ten basketball standings, Michigan’s rough start is weighing it down.
After losing at Wisconsin, 68-64, on Tuesday, the Wolverines are 2-4 in the conference. That places them among three four-loss teams near the bottom of the standings (only better than Rutgers).
And it might only get tougher. Only three of the remaining 12 games are against teams even with or below U-M in the standings.
“The schedule’s just going to get harder now,” U-M coach John Beilein said. “We are three or four possessions from being maybe (higher).
