Twenty-nine. That’s the number of days that separated the transfer portal’s closure and the onset of Sherrone Moore’s tenure as Michigan’s head coach.
Just a little too late, there was nothing Moore could proactively do to help the Wolverines capitalize on portal. And in this day and age, recruiting through the transfer portal is just as critical is recruiting high schoolers. With his first season leading Michigan under his belt, Moore finally has the opportunity to attack the portal.
“I think the biggest piece that’s different from this point last year — when I first got the job, the transfer portal was closed,” Moore told the media this week.
