In the Michigan Wolverines’ victory over USC on Saturday, its offense looked quite different. Largely, that’s because the Wolverines had a new starting quarterback leading the offense. Beyond that, though, Michigan was without one of its strongest offensive weapons in tight end Colston Loveland.
Loveland entered the season highly touted as one of the Wolverines key offensive pieces, and he lived up to that in the first two weeks with more than 70 receiving yards in each game. But against Arkansas State, Loveland’s production was cut short when he went down with an injury in the third quarter.
