ANN ARBOR -- It's been eight years since a Michigan quarterback started a season this efficient, completing 70 percent of his passes while displaying an innate ability to find open receivers.
But through three games, that's exactly what Shea Patterson has done for the Wolverines.
The junior is 46 of 65 for 589 yards and six touchdown passes, and two interceptions, a pace not seen from a Michigan quarterback since Denard Robinson in 2010. That season, through three games, Robinson had completed 69.7 percent of his passes for 671 yards and four touchdowns.
"It's exciting as a whole knowing that my offensive line is giving me time to throw the ball in a clean pocket," Patterson told reporters earlier this week.
