Unlike past years, the announcement of Michigan football's starting quarterback for the 2019 season didn't arrive with fanfare. There wasn't much anticipation, either.
That's because the expectation all offseason, ever since he chose to return for his senior year, is that Shea Patterson will be the Wolverines' starting quarterback for a second consecutive season.
Monday afternoon, coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed that with five words: "Shea will start on Saturday.
