Shea Patterson, a magician with the ball, surprises himself with 81-yard run

ANN ARBOR -- Shea Patterson did not expect to see so much grass.

He'd seen Wisconsin's defensive end to his left crash on his fake handoff to Chris Evans. In fact, a few Badgers seemed to think Evans had the ball. Patterson kept it and ran left, sprinting along the Wisconsin sideline for 81 yards before he was pushed out of bounds at the 5-yard line by the appropriately named Rachad Wildgoose.

"That was surprising," Patterson said of his run. "I didn't know it was going to open up that way." He later added: "I think that's the first 80-yard run in my whole entire life.
