The Michigan Wolverines extended a scholarship to 2022 four-star defensive tackle Nick James, he shared on Twitter Friday afternoon.
The 6-foot-2, 270-pounder will be playing this upcoming season at IMG Academy, a football powerhouse in Florida where 2021 five-star quarterback commit J.J. McCarthy is transferring to play for his senior year. James previously played in his hometown of Prattville, Alabama.
Defensive line coach Shaun Nua extended the scholarship to James on Friday. This is not the first time the two have spoken, and James said good things about Nua to Maize n Brew.
