Shallman announces plan to transfer

Originally recruited as a fullback, Shallman played sparingly during his Michigan career, bouncing between that position and tailback through his first three years. During the 2015 spring game, he worked with the tight ends, but stayed at fullback the following season. At the conclusion of last year’s spring practice, he moved to linebacker, which was his official position this fall.

Contributing on special teams in six games, Shallman is the fourth member of the 2013 recruiting class to announced he would not return for a fifth season, joining long snapper Scott Sypniewski, quarterback Shane Morris and offensive lineman David Dawson in announcing his departure.
