EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Senior forward Justin Selman scored twice, and junior forwards Tyler Motte (G,A) and JT Compher added goals to lead the fifth-ranked University of Michigan ice hockey team to a 4-1 win over Michigan State at Munn Ice Arena.
Senior goaltender Steve Racine made 33 saves to earn the win in net, as Michigan rebounded from its first loss since December with a strong showing on the road.
Holding a 2-0 lead at the start of the third period, the Wolverines put the game away with two quick goals.
