Seidel: Michigan practices what new D-coordinator Don Brown preaches

Michigan defensive coordinator Don Brown has a saying: “Solve problems with aggression.”

Because pressure can make a quarterback freak out.

And when a quarterback gets rattled, that creates turnover opportunities for defensive backs.

Which is what happened on Saturday against Hawaii, as the Wolverines returned a pair of interceptions for touchdowns in a 63-3 victory.

Let’s look at one play in particular, which happened early in the third quarter.

Rashan Gary, the nation’s No. 1 recruit, came flying around the edge. Defensive tackle Ryan Glasgow slanted between the guard and center, and Jabrill Peppers shot through the hole.
