Earlier this week, Michigan picked up the commitment of three-star lineman Karsen Barnhart. An in-state prospect, this was a battle with Michigan State, who got Barnhart to back off from his planned commitment a couple of weeks ago and take some more time. Nevertheless, even with the extra time to think about his decision, Barnhart still went with the Wolverines.
Barnhart hails from Paw Paw, Michigan, a tiny school district that has not produced much FBS talent this century. Given that, his high school runs an old-time T-formation, which you may remember from the 2015 season, when Jim Harbaugh broke it out against Maryland.
