ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan head men's basketball coach John Beilein announced today (Thursday, June 16), the hiring of long-time Huron High School administrator and boys basketball coach Waleed Samaha as the Wolverines' new Director of Basketball Operations. Additionally, Beilein announced the elevation of Bryan Smothers to Video Analyst after he spent the last two seasons as the Graduate Manager.
"We have taken great pride having a staff of high character and professional people," said Beilein. "We are continuing that trend by hiring Waleed.
