CHICAGO -- Former University of Michigan football linebacker Jake Ryan was selected by the Green Bay Packers on the final day of the NFL Draft on Saturday (May 2) at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University. Ryan was drafted by the Packers in the fourth round with the 129th overall choice.
Ryan, an All-Big Ten first-team selection by the coaches and media during his senior campaign, led Michigan with 112 tackles, including 14 for loss with two sacks, two forced fumbles and five quarterback hurries in 2014. The Butkus Award finalist also grabbed one interception and registered three pass breakups.
