Ann Arbor — Rutgers offense can be explosive, but it helps significantly when receiver Leonte Carroo is playing.
Carroo is officially out for Saturday's game against Michigan, because of a "lower-body injury."
Carroo, a senior who missed the past game-and-a-half with an ankle injury, has caught 24 passes for 527 yards and nine touchdowns this season.
Without him the past game-and-a-half, Rutgers has scored 10 and seven points in losses. The previous two games, it scored 55 and 24, the latter in a narrow loss to Michigan State.
Carroo's backup, Carlton Agudosi, also is questionable for the Michigan game, because of a "lower-body injury.
