Rutgers' Douglas talking 'smack' with U-M pals

Running back/cornerback Ross Douglas graduated from Michigan last spring -- in just three years -- and then transferred to Rutgers to play as a graduate student.

But he remains tied to a number of his former teammates in Ann Arbor.

“I’m in a group chat with about 10 of them,” Douglas said this week, as No. 4 Michigan prepares to visit Rutgers for Saturday’s 7 p.m. kickoff (ESPN20. “It’s just friendly smack talk, nothing more, nothing less. I’m happy they’re all playing well and here for this game.”

It seems like he's outnumbered, though.

“Yeah, one on 10 in the group chat,” he said, laughing.
