Could Michigan go back-to-back years landing the No. 1 safety in the country? Well, the staff has put themselves in position to potentially do just that, as 4-star RJ Mickens included the Wolverines in his group of top 11 schools Monday night.
His list is a who’s who of top programs in the country, including Alabama, Clemson, Florida, LSU, Miami, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Texas A&M.
Mickens is from Texas and plays for powerhouse Southlake Carroll, which makes the absence of the Longhorns surprising here. But he’s a Texas A&M legacy, so the Longhorns may have been off limits in his house.
