Reports: U-M pushing for PG recruit Simpson

The recruiting roller-coaster rolls on.

Just hours after 2016 U-D Jesuit point guard Cassius Winston dropped Michigan from his final group of schools, the Wolverines apparently are eyeing a possible replacement.

Both scout.com and rivals.com reported this afternoon that U-M is heavily involved with Lima, Ohio, point guard Xavier Simpson.

The 5-foot-11 guard has an announcement set for 2:30 p.m. today and was considering Wisconsin and Illinois, among others. He has mentioned U-M in the past but not recently.

Apparently, the end of the Winston pursuit changed things for the Wolverines.
