Report: Wolverines' Tyrone Wheatley, not Jim Harbaugh, sees 4-star WR

A baby can cause plans to change.

Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh was scheduled to visit the home of Pinson, Ala., receiver Nico Collins on the first day of the NCAA recruiting contact period today. But Harbaugh's son John was born Wednesday.

According to Birmingham, Ala., television reporter Rick Karle, U-M running backs coach Tyrone Wheatley will step in for Harbaugh.

Collins has been a U-M target throughout the process and told the Free Press in July that Michigan was his leader.

The 6-foot-4, 185-pound Collins will be one of the major battles for the Wolverines this month, with Alabama, Georgia and Florida State all still on his visit list.
