The Michigan football staff continues to grow.
According to si.com's Thayer Evans, U-M will add San Jose State's Jimmie Dougherty to its offensive staff.
There was a report a year ago that Dougherty, the Spartans' assistant head coach and passing game coordinator, was considering a spot at U-M, but it never developed.
Dougherty has ties to U-M coach Jim Harbaugh, having worked for him in multiple roles at San Diego in 2004-06. He has a history of working with receivers and worked under former U-M offensive coordinator Al Borges at San Jose State.
It's unclear what role Dougherty will fill at U-M, as all assistant positions seem to be occupied.
