Report: Rick Finotti leaving Michigan for HC job at John Carroll University

ANN ARBOR -- Michigan defensive analyst Rick Finotti is off to a full-time coaching gig.

FootballScoop.com reported Tuesday night that Finotti -- who was hired as a director of football operations by Jim Harbaugh in 2015 before moving to the role of defensive analyst -- will be the new head coach at John Carroll University.

A former head coach at St. Edward High School in Ohio, Finotti was an early hire by Harbaugh in 2015 for a behind the scenes role. His position of defensive analyst last season was not an on-field coaching job.

JCU is a Division III school in Ohio.
