Jim Harbaugh has said for the past year that he and defensive coordinator Don Brown are becoming best friends.
Apparently, now he has Michigan ready to pay Brown like it.
In a major salary bump, Brown will be paid like the coordinator of the nation's No. 2 defense, getting a new five-year contract for $1.4 million per season, according to a Foxsports.com report.
A Michigan spokesman declined to address the report.
That is a massive boost from the three-year deal he signed when he arrived a year ago that had him at $880,000 per year.
