ANN ARBOR -- Scott Turner is reportedly headed back to the NFL.
Michigan's senior offensive analyst has accepted a job as quarterbacks coach of the Carolina Panthers, according to a Wednesday night report.
ESPN's David Newton writes the Panthers have hired former NFL head coach Norv Turner to serve as offensive coordinator, and along with him his son, Scott.
Scott Turner would work directly with quarterback Cam Newton, who threw for more than 3,300 yards, 22 touchdowns in and 16 interceptions during the 2017 season. Carolina went 11-5 and lost to New Orleans on Sunday in an NFC wild-card game.
