Michigan has a vacant assistant coaching position and it could be filled by a familiar face.
Former U-M offensive line coach Greg Frey, who worked at Michigan under Rich Rodriguez from 2008-10, is on campus in Ann Arbor interviewing today, according to TheMichiganInsider.com's Sam Webb.
Frey, 44, has worked at Indiana since being fired by Michigan with Rodriguez's staff following the 2010 season. He is still listed as Indiana's offensive line coach under new head coach Tom Allen and new offensive coordinator (and former longtime Michigan assistant) Mike DeBord.
But Frey's unit performed well during those years, peaking in 2010, when the offense averaged 488.
