Juwan Howard's first recruiting win came early in his tenure as the newest head coach of Michigan basketball.
Shortly after Howard's hiring, he reached out to Cole Bajema, a 4-star wing from Washington who signed with Michigan during last November's early signing period. Bajema never publicly commented on his status following former coach John Beilein's departure or showed any indication of wavering, but Howard still had to recruit Bajema and keep him in the fold.
"Cole committed to the University of Michigan thinking that Coach Beilein was going to be his coach," Howard said Thursday.
