We’ve reached the first bye week on the schedule for the Michigan Wolverines, and we’re roughly at the halfway point of the 2024 college football regular season. At this point, we have a pretty good idea of who the contenders and pretenders are when it comes to the College Football Playoff’s inaugural 12-team field.
Back in the summer, we gave our prediction of which 12 teams would be in the playoff at season’s end. It’s safe to say we might have missed on a couple of our original predictions — that is unless Florida State has a miraculous turnaround and the committee decides to give the benefit of the doubt to a five loss team — but everyone deserves a second chance.
