ANN ARBOR -- It remains uncertain whether Michigan will have Rashan Gary in uniform and available for the rest of the season.
The former first-team all-Big Ten defensive end sat out Michigan's 21-7 win over Michigan State, the third straight game he's missed with an ongoing shoulder injury.
And as it turns out, it was Gary who made the decision. He didn't even travel with the team to East Lansing.
"He's made great progress," Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh said Monday during his bye-week news conference. "He practiced last week, but he didn't feel like he could play in the game.
