When you’re Rashan Gary, flying under the radar on your daily commute to classes can be a tall task. Though the freshman defensive tackle already has developed one disguise — a hoodie — he’s still 6 feet 5, 287 pounds, so according to him, “that doesn’t always work.”
From Gary’s point of view, he’s simply a normal person who plays football.
To the majority of people in Ann Arbor, he’s Rashan Gary — the top-ranked recruit nationally who coach Jim Harbaugh managed to bring into the program as the cornerstone of his class. After all, there’s a reason students started cheering in the middle of lecture halls when Gary announced his commitment to play at Michigan.
