ANN ARBOR -- Lavert Hill was first informed of the news by a curious TV reporter.
Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh walked in front of reporters Monday and said starting quarterback Wilton Speight would be out for "multiple weeks" with his undisclosed upper-body injury.
That means backup John O'Korn will be the guy to take the reigns of the Michigan offense come Saturday, when the 7th-ranked Wolverines clash with in-state rival Michigan State under the lights at Michigan Stadium (7:30 p.m., ABC).
"Next man got to be up," Hill said. "It's just another opportunity for O'Korn to get better.
