Michigan interim athletic director Jim Hackett will remain the AD for the near future.
Speaking to the Free Press editorial board today, U-M president Mark Schlissel said there's no search to hire a permanent AD.
"Jim Hackett, as we've discussed, he's doing a great job. We're focused on the football season right now, and that's, basically, all I have to say about it," Schlissel said.
During more than an hour of question and answers, it was the only moment during which he cut off a line of questioning.
Hackett's status has remained undefined since he took over abruptly on Oct.
