We’re entering some uncharted territory in college football as the 2024 season gets closer. The wave of conference realignment is well-documented with big schools like Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon, and USC making the SEC and Big Ten even more competitive than they were before.
However, one of the biggest changes comes with the new 12-team playoff format, which pushes the season into late January. Michigan will be the last team to claim a national title under the four-team format, and teams will now have to win an additional three or four games to win it all.
